Palm webOS

Agile Commerce has been a valuable development ally leading up to the launch of Pre. With the FlightView application, the Agile team has demonstrated the leverage offered by combining a powerful web-centric development model and the unique capabilities of Pre. — Pam Deziel, Vice President, Developer Marketing, Palm, Inc.

The Beginning...

Agile Commerce's experience working with new technology and our reputation for creating quality solutions gave us the opportunity to be one of the first development companies to begin working with the webOS platform. We worked directly with Palm (in some cases from their Sunnyvale, CA headquarters) to create the flight tracking application for FlightView that became one of the inaugural applications in the Palm App Catalog.

We have received praise from both FlightView and Palm for the quality of our code and our ability to design an application that leverages the capabilities and design sensibilities of Palm webOS and the Pre. The FlightView application debuted as one of the highest rated and most popular applications in the Palm App Catalog.

Zilch Lite appeared in the App Catalog shortly after the FlightView application and quickly became one of the most downloaded games for the Palm Prē with over 100,000 downloads. Zilch Lite was created for Landgrab Games and is a tremendously addicting free dice game. In addition, we have created a more advanced paid version of Zilch for Landgrab Games that builds on the success of Zilch Lite.

...And Beyond

We currently have several more applications in development that will be available in the App Catalog imminently.

We believe that Palm webOS represents a leap forward for mobile platforms. The use of standards-based technologies will end the dependency on specialized languages and tools. It is an exciting time for mobile development and we are happy to be a part of it.
